Dancing into Connections

Join us on for Dancing Into Connections to reconnect, recharge and move - while having fun! All About Ballroom is hosting a 10 class Line Dancing package just for us! Classes will be held the 3rd Thursday of each month on 9/16; 10/21; 11/18; 12/16; 1/20; 2/17; 3/17; 4/21; 5/19; and 6/16 at 6:30 pm. You don't need a dancing partner, special attire or know how to dance But, it is essential that you come to have fun! The 10 class package discount rate is a $120 non-refundable fee payable to the studio on the date of the event. This covers all 10 classes. If you cannot sign up for the package discount rate, please feel free to join us on a class by class basis at $17/class.

JWLA and IWIRC HabiJax

Please join JWLA and IWIRC for a joint community service project with HabiJax on October 2, 2021 from 8AM-3PM. To register follow the below instructions:  

 

Step 1: “Add a New Volunteer to Profile”

Click the down arrow to select “Use Reservation Code” and enter your group code: JWLIWIRC • Once the code has been entered, your scheduled date(s) will appear. 

Step 2: Select Your Reservation Event(s) Click on the desired opportunity/date. Choose time slot(s) and register for the selected event.

 

Everyone must sign a waiver before the scheduled day which can be accessed by the link. We are only able to have 8 volunteers from JWLA and 4 volunteers from IWIRC due to COVID restrictions. Additionally Habijax has also reinstated their mask policy requiring all volunteers wear a mask while working indoors. Water will be provided for volunteers and we hope to see you for this community service event.

Opening Reception 10/13/21

Meet and mingle with our board, network with members, and learn what you can do to get involved and about our upcoming events for the 2021-2022 year. The event will be catered by Bread and Board and each attendee will receive 2 free drink tickets.

Freed to Run - Join JWLA Marathon

and/or 5k Team - 11/20/21

Making Strides Walk

Join Team JWLA and lets walk together and show our support at the Making Strides of the First Coast Event on October 23. Team JWLA is showing support and raising money for the American Cancer Society’s support services and lifesaving research in the fight against breast cancer. Let’s do this together!

Stepping into Connections is a walking activity, led by one of our gracious members in a community or geographic area of the member's choosing. We hope to fill each walking activity with law students, seasoned attorneys, judges,  young lawyers, and community members.

JWLA & JBA YLS Joint After 5 CLE Event on 9/20/21

Please join the Jacksonville Women Lawyers Association and the Jacksonville Bar Association Young Lawyers Section on September 29 at Intuition Ale Works for an evening of connections and CLE! This event will be worth 1 CLE, with a speakers series for an additional 3 CLE (offered online) to follow. Sponsored by Stephen Strum, MBA | Financial Advisor. Presentation will address "What Keeps You up at Night, Smart Strategies for managing debt." Drinks and Heavy Hors' Devours will be provided. There is no fee to attend this event.
