Stepping into Connections

December 12, 2020

Welcome to our inaugural year of Stepping into Connections, where we are expanding upon the success of the Tables for Eight program and taking members only, small group networking to the outdoors. This event is an additional option for you to get to know your fellow members and develop mentor relationships with other attorneys and judges while walking in areas within the Fourth Judicial Circuit.

Stepping into Connections is a walking activity, led by one of our gracious members in a community or geographic area of the member's choosing. Stepping into Connections walks are limited to ten members.  We hope to fill each walking activity with two law students, two seasoned attorneys, two judges, two young lawyers (lawyers under 36 and new Florida Bar members for the first 5 years), and two community members.  Dates and times vary and are listed in the registration form. We are excited about this new activity and hope you will come join us on our walks!

CommUNITY Day 2021

January 23, 2021

Please join our fellow local bar associations in giving back! Jacksonville lawyers and their families are invited to come together for a day of unity and service to our community. The Jacksonville Legal CommUNITY Day is on Saturday, January 23, 2021 from 8:30am-3:30pm at Feeding Northeast Florida.

Two shifts are limited in space so reserve your spot now! 8:30 – 11:30 am 12:30 – 3:30 pm Together, we can help build unity and fight hunger in our community by assisting in sorting food for distribution to families in need. According to Feeding Northeast Florida, more than 283,000 individuals in Northeast Florida struggle to put food on the table, and more than 81,000 of them are children. Feeding Northeast Florida works to provide food for these children, families, veterans, and seniors so they can focus on building a foundation for a stronger tomorrow, and so they do not have to choose between paying the rent or buying groceries. Volunteers will help ensure high-quality, safe food is being distributed by working with teams to inspect, categorize and package food items.

Family members and children accompanied by an adult that are 16 years of age or older are invited to volunteer.

In an effort to protect the vulnerable population of people that we serve, FNEFL will be pre-screening volunteers before allowing them into the warehouse. Closed-toe shoes are required for participation.

We will be working in Feeding Northeast Florida’s food distribution warehouse located at 1116 Edgewood Ave N, Units D/E, Jacksonville, FL 32254. To sign up, please click this link:
